I’ve been done with everything that I was assigned from Karl on May 2nd.
I managed to fix the spike model that Enzor gave to me to work properly and accurately with my script.
Tried to import the spike asset, but the pivot was entirely off center and unable to put it together with the script
I managed to get the spike moving out slowly to its local position of 1.0f and then stabbing out to the local position of -2.25f then move back faster but still slowly to local position 2.75f. Everything is a temporary asset within it until we add the art to it.
I am nearing the completion of the spike trap; however, it seems as though it instantaneously teleports to the end position instead of slowly going out like it is supposed to. Just have to figure out why it does this and a fix, and then that will the spike trap done.
Figured out how I’m going to get the spike to go out and retract in.
I got the saw to rotate smoothly and at an adjustable speed for different difficulties of how fast the saw is moving.
I managed to get the saw to rotate and move back and forth like I was hoping to get. Now I just need to get it to rotate smoothly and adjust the speed of everything.
I found a piece of code called Mathf.PingPong that I plan to test to see if I can use it for the saws and spikes. So far seems to one of the better ideas I’ve had.
Continued working on the saw and the spikes, and I have a rough thing of code to work with at right now to get the saw to go back and forth. Then I’m going to refine it and make it more efficient and have it move smoothly.
